ZARA is set to open its second Queensland store here in Brisbane.
Despite numerous denials from its Spanish head office over the past two years, we can now confirm that fashion retailer, ZARA, will be opening their first Brisbane store in the CBD.
Recruitment for full time retail assistants started online on September 23, tipping off the highly anticipated launch of the brand in Brisbane. A handful have reportedly been offered jobs and have been told to prepare for a December launch of ZARA Brisbane.
According to sources, the flagship store will open in Queens Street Mall this December and will take up four floors. Earlier reports had 155 Queen Street as a possible location, however, exact location has yet to be revealed.
ZARA is loved by fashion connoisseurs for its ability to produce runway looks at everyday ready-to-wear prices. It is believed that Zara can develop a new product and get it to stores in just one week, compared to the six-month industry average, and launches around 12,000 new designs each year.
Founded in 1975 by Amancio Ortega and Rosalía Mera, ZARA is represented in over 88 countries around the world and is the flagship chain store of the Inditex group, the world’s largest apparel retailer.
ZARA is the latest foreign brand to set foot in Brisbane. Just recently, Japanese fashion brand Uniqlo revealed that they will be opening their doors in Indooroopilly and the Brisbane CBD, creating over 200 jobs across both locations. The city store located in the old Broadway on the Mall will be Uniqlo’s second biggest store in Australia.
