The Mercedes-Benz Fashion Festival Brisbane has announced a new home for its tenth anniversary – the historic John Reid Pavilion at the Brisbane Showgrounds.
With its soaring ceilings, industrial-style interior and inspired architectural design, the John Reid Pavilion provides the largest canvas yet for this year’s designers to showcase their collections.
RNA Chief Executive Brendan Christou said it was a perfect fit for the State’s premier Fashion Festival to be held at the historic Brisbane Showgrounds precinct.
“We are delighted that our venue has been chosen to showcase such an important industry as local fashion design, which the RNA proudly celebrates,” he said.
Mercedes-Benz Fashion Festival Brisbane Director, Lindsay Bennett, said, “I am pleased to announce our new home for the Fashion Festival, and excited by what we will be able to create within this venue,” Mr Bennett said.
“The John Reid Pavilion will allow us to accommodate more guests than ever before and create a spectacular new stage. We’re confident that the 2015 Mercedes-Benz Fashion Festival is going to be an amazing event, and one that celebrates our tenth anniversary in true style.
The 2015 Mercedes-Benz Fashion Festival Brisbane will celebrate a decade of presenting fashion and this year will be staged from Sunday 23 – Friday 28 August, 2015.
