FASHION EDITORIAL | Katie Mossman styles Amanda Welsh in 60s look for Vogue Australia

If you’re a fan of ¬†the sixties, you will love this. Stylist Katie Mossman recreates the hippy era by styling model Amanda Welsh in A-line skirts, mini dresses and patent leather boots for the September issue of Vogue Australia. But it’s not the kind of “costume-y” sixties styling that makes you go, “really?”. Instead, the carefully chosen pieces exude a wonderful balance between the sixties and today’s fashion and this is further perfected by the grunge out-of-bed hair by hairstylist Bok-Hee. In fact it really reminds us of Hedi Slimane’s debut show in Paris for Saint Laurent.¬†Photographer Sebastian Kim captures Amanda’s every movement in a setting that’s so believably 60s. Kudos to the editorial team for following through! Amanda, a mother-of-one (err, yes we are not kidding), looks absolutely sweet and sexy in Kim Kardiashian’s favourite designer Givenchy by best bud Riccardo Tisci along with other magnificent pieces from Gucci, Miu Miu, Saint Laurent and Louis Vuitton. Of course the whole thing would not be complete with the natural yet sexy look by Benjamin Puckey who chose to add the iconic eyeliner do. Which 60s look is your favourite? Ours has to be the third picture.
