Today, by way of Russia, we bring you Miroslava Duma, founder of www.BURO247.ru. The diminutive, Moscow-based Miroslava Duma is an internet style star followed virtually all over the world. Duma is married to entrepreneur Aleksey Mikheev and did we say she is a mum? Yes, she has a son, George. Before having founded Buro247, a HuffPost-style online magazine for fashion-crazed Russians, Duma was a Harper’s Bazaar Russia editor. But because her appearance in other magazines became a conflict of interest, Duma left her job as an editor to go freelance, opening doors for future endeavors. She even became the face of Oscar de la Renta for The Outnet. In the past few seasons, Duma has appeared in campaigns for Ferragamo and Russian department store TSUM, and most recently Roger Vivier’s Spring 2014 collection.
Believe it or not, this all started with street snaps. Before there was The Blonde Salad and Kristina Bazan, there was Duma rocking the Fashion Weeks. Duma is known for wearing voluminous designer pieces. As seen above, she wears a larger than life cape from Valentino to the Elie Saab show. She’s almost like a walking art gallery and we mean that in the best possible way! These street snaps will show you why the rise of Duma was inevitable.
